Lynn Asher’s debut ep Get It While You Can is soulful, powerful, dynamic, and real. Lynn invokes the spirit of some of the great female rock, blues and soul singers such as Aretha, Janis, and Anne Wilson, inviting her listener to embrace life head on and full of heart. Get It While You Can, one of her signature songs and title track, is a tribute to her idol Janis Joplin. Fans tell Lynn that she literally invokes the spirit of Janis with fierce honesty. Always authentic, Lynn makes each song on this debut uniquely her own.

One of her biggest fans producer and vocalist Raz Kennedy, (a founding member of Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra, and vocal coach to; Adam Duritz and members of Counting Crows, Rancid, AFI, members of Metallica), encouraged Lynn to record her voice for the first time. Raz brought in recording engineer David Frazer (Whitney, Mariah, and Aretha) to track the band who recorded four of the tunes at bass player Jon Evans, (Tori Amos) studio in Berkeley, CA. Lynn has worked with drummer Gigi Gonaway (Mariah, Sheryl Crow) for several years; bass player David Belove (Machete Ensemble); keyboardist Michael Bluestein (Linda Perry); and guitarist Geoff Pearlman (Shelby Lynne), created a live, powerful sound. Raz Kennedy and Allyson Paige are featured on background vocals.

For the past thirteen years Lynn has called San Francisco her home. During this time she has performed with some of the top musicians in the industry including Producer/vocalist Raz Kennedy (founding member of Bobby McFerrin's Voicestra), Producer/drummer Narada Michael Walden (Whitney, Aretha, Mariah, Stevie Wonder), guitarist Tal Morris (Creedence Clearwater Revisted, Huey Lewis & The News), drummer Gigi Gonaway (Mariah Carey), guitarist James Nash of the Waybacks & Bob Weir, and guitarist James Moseley, and Michael LaMacchia at some of the most legendary clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area such as The Great American Music Hall and The Sweetwater Saloon.

Lynn has recorded vocals for commericals, voiceover, and CD projects. in 2007, Lynn recorded vocals on two tracks for the independant documentary film Guitar Man, with filmmaker Michael Indelicato. The music soundtrack is being produced by Indelicato and Narada Michael Walden. In 2005 Lynn landed the gig to record vocals for RENT the Motion Picture Soundtrack, CD and DVD singing on five of the tracks recorded at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch. She also recorded lead and background vocals on The Iambic Dream Project produced by Raz Kennedy and Wael K., and in 2003 released her own ep titled "Get It While You Can" produced by Raz Kennedy.
